Description:   Bowl with slightly flaring ring foot which has slightly concave outside (trapezoid shape in section), rounded resting surface, round bottom, and convex body. Two holes pierced in ring before firing.
Decoration:   White slip and yellow glaze inside. Black glaze decoration under yellow glaze: animal facing left with long striped neck and upper body, circle eye, clawed foot, and possibly wings behind head; possibly a bird. Small feature before animal: two adjacent ovals filled with dots. Black glaze bled. A long neck bird like that on C-37-448.
Material:   Medium coarse reddish yellow clay, frequent medium rounded spherical reddish brown inclusions, rare medium angular spherical white inclusions, frequent medium to very large voids.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Two fragments mended, body and most of foot. Two piercings in foot originally. Chip in glaze.
