Description:   Handmade terracotta figurine of horse and rider. Horse has thick neck, long body, tapering legs. Tail projects straight back. Rider grips onto back of horse, with wide pellets for arms and legs. Horse painted white; rider painted white overlaid by red paint.
Decoration:   White paint or white slip over all, overlaid by red paint on body of rider.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with rare very small rounded spherical inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 7/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving neck, right front leg, stubs of remaining three legs, torso, and tail of horse, lower body of rider. Traces of white paint or white slip preserved over entire figurine; traces of red paint overlaid on back of rider.
