Description:   Terracotta solid handmade dancer from group of dancers moving in circle with arms joined around central standing flutist. Dancer has flat strip of clay applied around front of head as polos, clay overfold from back to front as head, semi-circular face, broad flat neck, flattened chest, flat strip arms, joining dancers, body oval in section, pinched in slightly before flaring into two pinched splayed feet as attaches to base. Figure leans to rt. Flat circular base with pared and smoothed edge. Similar to KT2-11 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 8 pl. 4) and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4).

Material:   Fine reddish yellow and pink clay with few fine sparkling and rare medium tabular angular white inclusions and rare medium tabular angular voids
Munsell Color:   Clay: 7.5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow) and 7.5YR 8/4 (pink)
Condition:   Fragment. Single piece preserving one dancer from head to base with half of rt and stump of lt arm and small part of base. Slightly encrusted. Discolored.
