Description:   Terracotta solid handmade standing flutist from group of circling dancers with arms joined. Flute player has flat strip of clay applied around front of head as polos, clay overfold from back to front as head, two clay rolls of double flute rest over face jutting out in wobbly inverted V, broad long neck, flat strip arms attached at shoulder stretch out then forward, bent at elbows, tapering with pointed hands curving outward grasping flutes, flattened wide chest, upper body tilted backwards and body oval in section. Similar to KT2-5 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 3 pl. 5) and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4).

Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay with few fine sparkling inclusions and rare small tabular angular voids
Munsell Color:   Clay: 7.5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single piece preserving flutist from head to just above attachment to base. Traces of white slip.
