Description:   Terracotta solid handmade group of five dancers moving in circle with arms joined around flutist standing in center. Each dancer has flat strip of clay applied around front of head as polos, clay overfold from back to front as head, semi-circular face, broad short neck, flattened chest, long flat strips as arms, joining dancers, individual arms pinched together, cylindrical body flaring into two pinched flaring feet as attaches to base. Flat circular base with smoothed edge. Similar to KT2-11 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 8 pl. 4) and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4).

Material:   Fine pink clay with very pale brown core with few fine sparkling, rare medium tabular angular white, and rare large tabular angular orange inclusions and rare large tabular angular voids
Munsell Color:   Surface: 7.5YR 8/4 (pink), Core: 10Yr 7/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Several joining pieces preserving three dancers (one missing lt foot), feet of two more dancers and flutist, and base. Large chips on base and on rt dancer. Traces of white slip. Encrusted.
