Description: | Terracotta solid handmade group of five dancers moving in circle with arms joined. Two dancers have wide flat strip of clay applied around front of head as large polos, clay overfold from back to front as head, and semi-circular face. Each dancer has broad long neck, flattened chest, short flat strips as arms join dancers, upper body tilted outward slightly, cylindrical body flaring into two pinched splayed rounded feet as attaches to base. Flat circular base, slightly concave, with pared and smoothed edge. Similar to KT2-11 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 8 pl. 4) and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4). | |
