Description: | Terracotta solid handmade group of four dancers moving in circle with arms joined. Each dancer has flat strip of clay applied around front of head as polos, clay overfold from back to front as head, semi-circular face, broad short neck, flattened chest, short flattened small strips as arms joining dancers, upper body tilted outward slightly, cylindrical body flaring as attaches to base. Flat rounded rectangular base with edges roughly pared. Fingerprints on chests and heads. Similar in size and style to KT2-11 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 8 pl. 4) and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4). | |
