Description:   Terracotta solid handmade group of dancers moving in circle with arms joined around central standing flutist. Dancer has wide flat strip of clay applied around front of head as polos, clay overfold from back to front as head, semi-circular face, short neck curving into flat strips as arms, lt arm slightly lower than rt, pinched at shoulder and angling at almost right angle, arms of adjoining dancers overlap and are pinched together, flattened chest, upper body tilted backward, cylindrical body flaring slightly as attaches to base. Flat circular base, slightly concave under central figure and convex under dancer, with pared and smoothed edge. Fingerprints on face and base. Similar to KT2-11 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 8 pl. 4) and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4).

Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay with few fine sparkling, few medium to large spherical angular red, and rare small spherical angular black inclusions amd rare small spherical angular voids
Munsell Color:   Clay: 7.5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Three joining pieces (2 from Lot 864, one, Rt arm, from Lot 863, joined 2007) preserving one dancer from head to feet with most of arms, and part of base. Traces of white slip.
