Description: | Terracotta solid handmade flutist from group of dancers moving in circle with arms joined around central standing flutist. Flutist hasthick wide flat strip of clay applied tightly around front of head as polos, clay overfold from back to front as head, additional clay strip across face covering edge of two strips of double flute jutting out at angle, broad long neck, round strips of arms attached at shoulder curving forward, rounded hands curl around bottom of each flute, rt arm much higher than lt, upper body tilted backward slightly, cylindrical body flaring at bottom near base attachment. Similar to KT2-5 and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4). | |
