Description:   Terracotta solid handmade dancer from group moving in circle with arms joined around central standing flutist. Dancer has broad neckcurving into flat strip arms stretching toward other dancers, convex chest, flattened cylindrical body leaning forward, extra strip of clay wrapped around bottom to secure to base. Flat rounded base with pared and smoothed edge. Similar to KT2-11 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 8 pl. 4) and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4).
Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay with few fine sparkling inclusions and rare very large tabular rounded and small tabular angular voids
Munsell Color:   Clay: 7.5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single piece preserving dancer from neck to feet and part of base. Missing head, all of rt and most of lt arm. Chipped at back and base. Traces of white slip.
