Description:   Solid female head. Back handmade, rounded. Added: hair at top and sides. Tooling on hair; ears punched. Head tilted to right. Similar facial type (without tooling) and coiffure as MF-12153 (Merker 2000, Corinth 18.4, cat. H201). One crease in neck. Probable mould siblings in lots 5613 (fabric 1), 6233 (fabric 4). Probable later generation: MF-11411 (lot 877); two in lot 3230 (all fabric 1). Similar in facial type, slightly smaller: MF-10609 (lot 896), MF-12043 (lot 2249), one in lot 2249 (al fabric 1). Decoration:   White slip. Red paint on hair.
Material:   Fabric 2, creamy buff, fine smooth surface
Condition:   Complete profile. Head and neck preserved, with part of tenon. Few chips missing. Plug of clay extends from neck for joining with body. Proper right rear top-knot lock broken off. Traces of white slip on neck, face, hair; red paint on hair.
