Description:   Altar of cyma recta ovolo type. Hollow with plain back, side face with continuous base to crown moulding, base is plain vertical with cyma reversa decorated in two layers of overlapping leaves. Above ovolo decorated with rising tongue pattern. All leaves and tongues in relief, top surface flat.
Decoration:   Background painted matt brown, leaves outlined in brown line. Top unpainted as preserved.
Material:   Corinthian buff clay pinkish at core, mudstone grit.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/3 (surface) 6YR 7.5/4 (core)
Condition:   Complete profile. Single fragment preserving most of one side, corner at back.
