Description: | Mouldmade terracotta figurine of nude boy seated on low base. Chest and abdomen smooth; genitals small. Left leg bent 90 degrees with left knee and lower left leg projecting forward from body. Right leg lying along base, with right foot tucked up against left foot. Right hand rests on right knee; left hand rests on base. Back smooth (unmodelled). Figurine mostly solid with concave base. Clay slightly burnt. White paint covering flesh of boy. Type similar to so-called Temple Boys; see, e.g., MF-2905. | |
