Description:   Table consisting of a squared block with rounded bottom; on front (or back) raised smooth band W00.060 across top, W00.070 down left side, projecting slightly from remaining surface; raised band continues on underside; partly broken, perhaps for a missing leg ? Left side smoothly finished. Top surface framed on at least two sides by fascia W00.016, cyma reversa W00.020. In surface are parts of three hollowed measuring holes: 1). Rest. D. 00.19, of which nearly half circumference preserved, depth 0.19, hole at bottom D00.035; fillet surrounds mouth; 2). Rest.D. 00.12-00.13, depth 0.19, edge of bottom opening; 3). hole set further forward, probably to accomodate another hole behind it (B.), rest D. 0.09-0.10; depth ca. 0.12; opening apparently not in floor but just to side, a channel D00.01, leading off to front, not partly plugged with bronze. Sides of all openings roughly picked.
Material:   Fine white marble.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving complete height of body, parts of front (or back), left side, top and three containers.
