Description:   Mouldmade terracotta figurine of draped, standing, male comic actor. Figure stands erect with relaxed left arm hanging straight down at side. Head. (H. 0.022) with Phrygian cap with hair protruding from underneath: broad peak over forehead receding at temples and side bunches evident. Thick, slightly raised brows, round, protruding eyes, short, wide nose, wide mouth with slight grin. Shortish, wide, somewhat rounded beard. No distinctive distended belly. Pared, rounded back. Wears long, twice-girt chiton with loose overfold under himation. Solid. Evidence of tooling, (incised details, pared back). Mask M (MMC 3rd ed.).
Decoration:   White slip. Dark yellow belt.
Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay with very few rare small spherical and tabular sub-rounded brown and sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving head, torso, left arm, top of legs. Traces of white slip over all. Traces of yellow paint on garments.
