Description: | Thick block of stone with surfaces smoothly finished; impressions shallowly cut on both preserved surfaces. On top: 2 impressions of bird-headed fulcra for a tiny couch, placed one above other with heads out. Each consists of the body, neck and head of a bird, with head and beak pulled tightly down against neck, a few incised feathers on neck, double outline around body and shoulder; body ends in a wheel or rosette with 8 rays, between which are dots; short tang projects from wheel, continuing line of body, groundline below. On side, impression of couch leg and possible edge of couch; leg swells in thickness toward middle, tapering at either end, with 3 decorative reels at top, 3 near tip, tiny reel above narrow base of leg; thin base line. Top of 2nd leg at lower break. | |
