Description:   Object (animal paw?) with possibly rectangular (or square?) base with rounded corners and vertical plinth pedestal ending with sharp edge and incised line. One side (near back) convex then flaring widely upward; other side (near front) convex, then slighly concave, before flaring upward; at very front, curves up forming possible animal toe(?). Likely circular cut on interior. Somewhat similar to marble table leg A-1970-79 (Bookidis and Stroud 1997, Corinth 18.3, cat. 45).
Decoration:   Two raised tendrils (locks of hair?) with incised lines swoop over front end of toe curving to outside. Veins of alabaster run vertically, strongly marked, similar to MF-1987-7 and MF-1996-2.
Material:   Alabaster.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving two sides, small portion of pedestal or base, small part of top surface. Surface worn in some areas. Possibly part of one outer toe preserved.
