Description:   Soft gray stone (slate?) mould for lead seal. Rectangular, with circle drilled to bottom, four small depressions on four corners and a pour channel running through additional central depression to drilled circle. Remains of lead(?) rivet preserved in one depression. Circular groove on back and two more depressions on one side. One non-joining fragment is a circle on which the seal would be cast, with grooves around exterior and a tiny depression (mark of a compass?) in the center. No line depressions for cord preserved. As MF-3541 (Davidson 1952, Corinth 12, cat. 2829).

Condition:   Fragment. Four joining frgts., preserving two corners and most of mould except for two broken corners and chipped back; full dimensions preserved. Several small non-joining fragments.
