Description:   Small bronze globular button with suspension loop at top, formed by bending wire into loop and adhered to top of button. Similar to pendant or button MF-751, MF-1816, MF-2086 (Davidson 1952, Corinth 12, cat. 2119), MF-4694 (Frankish), MF-4822, MF-1995-48, MF-1997-59A, MF-1997-59B, MF-2003-24 (Late Byzantine), MF-2015-28, and MF-2015-40. Similar to small, spherical gilded bronze buttons from Mystras, 13th-15th c., which became widely used after mid-13th c., when tight-fitting garments were in fashion, particularly male garments (according to museum display at Mystras).
Material:   Bronze.
Condition:   Complete or intact. Complete. Surface with some corrosion, overall well preserved.
