Description:   Mostly flat, thin glass with painted decoration. Slight protuberance at one end, possibly part of body of vessel. Falls under 13-15th century caliphates, according to T. Andonaras.
Decoration:   White paint on face, thin brown lines defining facial features: eyes looking up and to left, proper right eyebrow straight and unattached, proper left eyebrow line continues down into long straight nose, downturned mouth, round chin. Brown paint on cloak(or helmet) drawn across head, black outline(?) around face and fabric. Yellow curving triangular fields in background on either side of head, possibly with three different concentric layers of yellow, with two red encircling bands. Red continues with blackish flakes. Red on backside. Such decoration commonly appears on mosque lamps or other closed shapes, according to T. Andonaras.
Material:   Colorless glass.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., broken all around. Traces of paint preserved on most of surface, face quite well preserved, paint on neck worn. Black outline partially preserved. Traces of red pigment on exterior.
