Description:   Mouldmade terracotta figurine of cock or rooster with long tapering neck, short curved beak. Pronounced ridge above eye. Comb projects from head with six points, with divisions incised or cut out crudely with tool. Figurine hollow, with traces of fingerprints inside. Walls of figurine relatively thin, but thicker at neck.
Material:   Coarse light reddish brown clay with medium rounded spherical inclusions, gray core.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/4 (light reddish brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving head, back of neck. Broken at seam that divides left and right half of head.
Period:   2nd c. B.C.
