Title:   TERRACOTTA FIGURINE OF RECLINING MALE FIGURE

Description:   Mouldmade terracotta figurine of reclining male figure wearing low, wide polos and with body extending to proper right. Facial features indistinct. Chest bare. Drapery covering left shoulder and arm. Entire figurine covered in white slip, which is overlaid on polos, drapery by red paint. Back handmade, smoothed with long, flat tool. Head of figurine solid, body hollow. From same mould as KT19-66 and MF 1021 (according to Corinth 15.2).
Decoration:   White slip over all, overlaid by red paint at polos, drapery.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with common rounded and sub-rounded spherical voids.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/2 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving head, torso, and part of left arm. White slip or white paint preserved over most of figurine and traces of red paint in places.
Period:   Classical
Chronology:   5th or 4th c. BC
Findspot Description:   From Odeion, W. end of dig. Nov. 11, 1929.
