Description:   Mouldmade terracotta figurine of seated or crouching animal (wooly dog?). Right hind leg folded beneath body. Hair indicated by irregular incised lines. Figurine hollow. Inside bears traces of raking tool or fingerprints. Probably same mold as MF-1971-196.
Material:   Coarse reddish yellow clay fired orange at core with micaceous inclusions, rare very large squared inclusions, few small rounded spherical inclusions, frequent small rounded spherical voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving right half of figurine's torso, hind leg.
Period:   3rd c. B.C.
Chronology:   mid-3rd to second half of 3rd c. B.C. based on comparandum
