Description:   Terracotta figurine of standing comic actor, with drapery held above stomach and right hand fondling large genitals. Stomach rounded and very prominent. Pubic hair indicated by short incised lines. Fingers of right hand indicated by incised lines. Figurine hollow with traces of fingerprints on interior from pressing clay into mould. Figurine covered in white slip or white paint. Close to MF-5264. Cf. Monuments Illustrating Old and Middle Comedy (3rd ed), A(ttic)T(erracotta) 19- JRG.
Decoration:   White slip.
Material:   Very soft reddish-yellow clay with very few inclusions.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving most of figurine; missing feet and upper left side of body. Traces of white slip in crevices.
Period:   4th c. B.C.
