Description:   Glass stirring rod, made by twisting together two thinner rods (each approximately 3 mm thick).
Material:   Colourless glass
Condition:   Fragment. Segment of a glass stirring rod. Numerous hairline cracks but little corrosion.
Period:   Early Roman (44BC-1/2 2nd c AD)
Chronology:   Found near a copper coin of Hadrian (MF 1927-2), so perhaps early/mid 2nd century
Findspot Description:   Manhole north of the stage building in the Odeion
