Description:   Mouldmade terracotta figurine of male (?) figure with African features, including a short, broad nose, large rounded nostrils, deep philtrum, and wide, full lips. Face is broad, cheeks are round with low cheekbones, eyes apparently deep set. Mouth is slightly parted and shows a row of teeth individually indicated. Dimples at lower bottom corners of mouth. Chin dimpled or cleft. Entire face, including teeth, covered in black slip.

Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with medium and large rounded spherical and tabular voids
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving chin, mouth, nose, cheeks. Slightly degraded black slip across whole face.
