Description:   Handmade terracotta figurine of four-legged animal. Neck oval-shaped in horizontal section. Legs cylindrical, tail thick at base and has downward curve. Red paint decorates animal's chest and front legs. Brown or diluted red paint decorates sides of front legs, sides of torso, sides and backs of hind legs, and sides of tail. Neck painted with brown or diluted red paint in cross-hatch pattern, perhaps indicating hair or mane?
Decoration:   Red and brown or red dilute paint on neck, chest, legs, torso, and tail.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay fired pink and then gray at core with common small rounded spherical and tabular voids.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving torso and parts of right front leg, right hind leg, tail; stubs of left front and hind legs. Red paint or glaze preserved on body and legs.
Findspot Description:   Miscellaneous Finds, Corinth. Found in dump of surface dig in N. area of Temple Hill. 1926.
