Description:   Wide shallow plate. Downturned rim from flared neck, somewhat convex sides. Tapered ring base and flat bottom.
Decoration:   Exterior: scalloped rim made by facet cutting. On neck, line of vertical ovoid facets about 0.01 tall. On side, three interset lines of vertical ovoid facets in decreasing sizes (top row 0.01, middle row 0.008, bottom row 0.006). On bottom, line of horizontal facets (0.015) forming circle around base, and at least 5 rows of vertical facets (0.012-0.016) very closely set.
Material:   Clear colorless glass. Common pinprick-small bubbles.
Condition:   Complete profile. 12 fragments, all but 1 (MF-9103B) joining. About 1/3 of circumference of vessel preserved, with complete profile and most of bottom. Some iridescent weathering, but otherwise well preserved.
Manufacture:   Cast or blown. Facet cut.
Period:   Early Roman (44BC-1/2 2nd c AD)
Chronology:   late 1st-early 2nd c. AD? No good parallel found. For discussion of ER facet cut tableware, see Agora XXXIV 51-52, 94-96. All Agora facet cutting is on bowls rather than plates. For shape, idem #154-155.
