Description:   Preserved is a male face, probably broken away from a cornice. Top of head is flat. A straight band of hair (?) runs across straight flat forehead. Face flat with shallow-set eyes; almond-shaped with pointed end at outer corner, completely circled by a thick ring for eyelids. Eyes not quite symmetrical but left one pushed up slightly. Nose flat, tip of which merging into long moustache. Down turned upper lip. Side of face flat; start of offset element at back break.
Material:   Fine-crystalled white marble.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., broken at back, chin, right side of face.

Period:   Late Byzantine (1059-1210 AD)
