Description:   Standing male figure, c. life-size; weight on l. leg; r. leg missing, probably originally bent slightly and set to side; r. arm at side; r. hand holding bunch of cloth of himation; l. arm bent 90 degrees at elbow and l. forearm extended forward; tree trunk support beside l. foot, flat on l. side; nude chest; wears himation hanging over l. shoulder, crossing at waist, over l. forearm, falling down vertically on l. side over support to about mid-calf level; wears sandals with thick cross-straps at ankles (l. foot); torso paunchy with heavy, sagging pectorals and fleshy stomach; rasp marks visible on drapery and torso; chisel marks on tree trunk; point on top and sides of plinth; most of back fully finished (point work in some folds on back); Richter: Alkaios(?).
Material:   Fine-crystalled white marble
Condition:   Missing parts. Lacks head, r. arm below shoulder (but part of r. hand preserved), l. hand (dowelled on), r. leg below knee, l. foot, most of plinth.
