Wreath unfinished in back with summarily rendered knot. Short curly hair combed with a straight row of 4 locks across the forehead, fuller masses above temples, flattening the back. Top of head roughly picked, with a large patch at crown and back more finely picked with claw chisel and showing green discoloration as from bronze oxydation. Unworked mass of stone beneath wreath, projecting from back of neck. Low forehead with 2 wrinkles, inset eyes set deeply below brow, a white substance in right socket. Flattened cheeks with high cheekbones; deep crease covering upper lip; short curly beard. Surfaces of skin lightly polished. Tooling: running drill separating laurel leaves, outlining curls and individual strands within each lock, separating lips, withing ears outlining helix; possibly only point in beard. | Material: | | Coarse-crystalled white marble. | Condition: | | Fragment.
