Description: | Top portion of aedicula, perhaps for enthroned Cybele, consisting of low tympanum with undecorated surface, H00.060, crowned by plain sima with oblique face and narrow fascia, H00.016. Projecting from apex acroterion, horse-shoe shaped in plan, straight across front, with oval element - probably floral - set in from wider base. Underside of pediment worked with claw chisel, front face smoothed, top both roughly picked and coarsely clawed. See S-1109 S-1124 Cybele figures from Basilica. | |
