Description:   Fragment of draped anatomy with very slight curve in horizontal section, probably from lower torso or, less likely, legs. Two parallel grooves presumably represent vertical folds, as on C.;farther to lt. a low ridge of another fold, running at slight angle to grooves. Overlapping cloth is astick-like implement with a long (PL00.055) shaft,rectangular in section, broken at either end; scar on surface continues another 0.026 m. to a squaretip. At preserved end of stick are two projectingelements: the upper is shaped like a pomegranatewith triple ribs, projecting knob, above whichsurface of himation broken as if an extension of this chipped away. Lower element roughlycylindrical with flaring flat tip. Interiorca. smooth with horizontal wad lines.
Decoration:   Red-brown paint on drapery and on tip of cylindrical element
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., broken all edges; interior surface and exterior partly blackened at one end. Staff partly broken away from surface; much of paintmissing.
