Description:   Tip of feather from right sphinx wing, edge of second. Feathers stepped with deep V-shaped channel setting off flat framing band from flat face of feather proper. Outer edge flat, rounded in back to flat smoothed back. Thick layer of fine clay 00.007-00.011 on front, outer faces, 00.003 on back; layer fine clay at core. From same or similar sphinx as SF XXXX 006.
Decoration:   Heart of feather red-brown, ca. 10R 4/6-2.5YR 3.5/6, surrounded by reserved band with yellow lustrous caste, 1OYR 7/5. Black framing band. Outer edge, back plain.
Mythology:   Sphinx
Material:   Core clay with dense amount fine sand-like inclusions, few coarser black, fired gray-buff. Fine surface layer buff-yellow.
