Description:   Fragment preserves segment of hair with 7 rows of wavy zigzag locks and poss. bit of forehead. Not clear whether lt. or rt. side. Waves tighter toward face, looser at top of head. Broken at back along wet joint.
Decoration:   Matt-black paint on hair.
Mythology:   Sphinx ?
Material:   Clay with dense admixture fine sand-like black inclusions, a few coarser to 2 mm. Fine surface layer T00.002-00.008 m. Fired buff to pale pinkish-buff core, buff-yellow surface.
Munsell Color:   Near 10YR 7/5 surface 10YR 7/4 below surface
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., broken all around.
