Description:   Cup with widely flaring stem foot, broad flat resting surface. Shallow echinoid body, straight flaring rim, fine lip. Two horizontal loop handles, slightly tilted, on shoulder.
Decoration:   Two friezes on exterior. Upper, side A: panther, swan, siren with sickle wing, flying eagle, all r., siren l.; side B., owl, griffinbird, flying eagle, all r., siren with raised wings l., under each handle, swan l. Lower, doe and siren with sickle wing, l., swan l. between 2 panthers r. Small neat fillers, very sparse. Interior: on lip, reserved, red, black lines; mid wall 3 red lines; floor red, black, reserved lines around black whirligig. Painter of Brussels A 2182.
Material:   Fine gray-buff to pinkish-buff Corinthian clay.
Condition:   Complete or intact. Numerous joining fragments, complete except for small part of floor.
