Description:   Skyphos with heavy flaring ring foot, flat resting surface, rounded undersurface. Deep body with convex profile, max. diam. at H00.054, plain round lip. Two heavy horizontal loop handles set below lip.
Decoration:   Exterior, interior of foot glazed, resting and undersurfaces reserved with 2 small concentric circles in center of bottom. Narrow reserved band above foot with single black line; remainder glazed. Red-figure scene on either face, both same: owl turned to rt. with head front; circles around eyes, dots on head and coverts; owl on one face is fatter than on other; to either side of owl, single olive branch.
Material:   Fine light red clay with fine sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Near 5Yr 5.5/6
Condition:   Complete or intact. Intact; glaze worn on handles and on interior.
