Description: | Coarse ware (class D) according to Blegen (Zygouries). Cylindrical base. Lower portion of a substantial cylindrical base or stand that supported some kind of broad shallow basin made in one piece with the base. The basin is entirely missing and its size and shape are consequently matters of conjecture. The stand, which is hollow, is a well-made support. The foot widens toward the bottom and has a raised and impressed band running around it just above the foot. | |
