Description:   Stirrup jar with flat bottom, narrow stem curving into tall ovoid body, max. diam. at ca. H00.185, rounded shoulder, narrow neck contracting to flat stopper D00.080 which extends beyond neck. Largespout rising vertically from shoulder beside neckwith torus rim. Two vertical strap handles attachedto mid shoulder and stopper. Holes pierced throughhandles at base and top.
Decoration:   Two black to red glazed bands on stem. 3 red-blackbands at max. diam., 3 on shoulder at base of spout,in shoulder zone opposite spout pair of upside down 3-petal flowers. Black spiral band on stopper top, circle around base, top of spout, half-flowers fla
Material:   Coarse tan clay with frequent fine black inclusions.
Munsell Color:   From 2.5Y 6/4 to redder than 10YR 7/4
Condition:   Complete profile. Many joining frgts., complete profile. Complete except for a few small holes in stem, lower body; 2 larger holes in side A, one in side B; few small holes in shoulder, one in stopper lip, one in one handle, spout lip. Glaze partly worn away, Side A. RIP
