Description:   Jar with flat bottom, short stem curving into ovoidbody with max. diam. at ca. H00.18, high roundedshoulder, slight ridge at base of narrow conicalneck, flat stopper extending beyond neck. Widespout rising vertically from shoulder, torus rim.Two vertical strap handles attached to midshoulder, stopper. Pair of holes in bottom and topof both handles. Dent in shoulder, side A
Decoration:   Red to black glaze band on lower body, 2 just belowmax. diam. (partly worn away), 3 at baseof shoulder; on shoulder, Side A, parts of 2 upsidedown 3-petal flowers, parts of half-flowers flankingspout, circle at base, top of spout. 2 concentric circles on stopper, horizontal bars on handle backs.
Material:   Coarse tan clay with numerous fine black inclusions, partly fired to darker tan on spout side.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 7/4 to grayer than 7.5YR 6/6
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., complete profile.Complete bottom, lower body, ca. 1/4 midbody missing, ca. 1/4 shoulder, crack in stopper,spout complete, both handles. Glaze worn.
