Description: | Class B II (Glazed, completely coated ware) according to Blegen (Zygouries); "dipper" consisting of a circular cup of no great size, narrowing gradually to a small rounded bottom. The wall is much thickened on one side, and from this there springs upward a long massive handle, the extreme end of which is curled back and around to form a loop or rim. At the loop end the handle is fairly slender and circular in cross section, but as it approaches the rim, it grows broader and thicker. (Blegen, Zygouries, pg 97) | |
