Description:   Small, globular, closed shape of unconfirmed form. Most likely a small globular pyxis, possibly Wiencke type a (Wiencke 2000, Lerna 4, pp. 581–582, fig. II.91. Similar to Z-261 or Z-271 (Blegen 1928, Zygouries, pp. 88, 102, figs. 77, 88.5.
Decoration:   Dark-on-Light Pattern Painted (Blegen's Ware C, class 1): brown Wiencke motif 61 Broad Parallel Verticle Lines (Wiencke 2000, Lerna 4, p. 612, fig. II.99) on very pale brown unslipped field. Similar to Z-217 (Blegen 1928, Zygouries, pp. 103, fig. 88.5).
Material:   Poorly sorted fine to medium pale brown clay with common fine to small rounded black inclusions and common fine to medium voids.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 2.5Yr 7/3 (pale brown); decoration: 2.5YR 4/6 (olive brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving part of body. Decoration very faded.
