Description:   Two joining sherds that form what is clearly the neck of a closed shape, most likely a jug.
Decoration:   Mattpainted horizontal bands around neck with dots and flying V motif between them
Material:   Green Buff unslipped clay. Rare white and black inclusions and few angular voids.
Munsell Color:   10 YR 8/3 V Pale Brown
Condition:   Fragment. 2 joining sherds
Manufacture:   Handmade, coils visible.
Period:   Late Helladic I (1650-1500 BC)
Chronology:   This is a Blegen Class 2 Matt Painted sherd. It could be as late as LH I, based on Davis 1979 parallels from Korakou.
