Description:   This is the rim sherd from a fairly deep bowl, or possibly a very shallow cup. Lipless rim.
Decoration:   Rim band blac, in and out, deeper in than out. Lustrous painted spiral in black somewhat cracked. Potentially a running spriral.
Material:   very fine buff clay very rare small white inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10 YR 8/3 V pale brown
Condition:   Fragment. 1 rim sherd
Period:   Late Helladic IIA
Chronology:   The shape, according to Mountjoy MDP is LH IIA, however the flaking paint, (Furumark p.13) and unslipped interior potentially suggest an LH I date.
