Description:   Pounder. Conoid, but oval in section. Rounded surface is highly polished and shows some pecking. Use-wear at tip. Broken opposite this. Pounders or grinders were common stone objects at Zygouries, found on floors of houses, and elsewhere on site, and likely for use with millstones. Most stone varieties were similar to those in local stream beds (Blegen 1928, 200).
