Description:   Marble female standing figurine of the folded arm type, flat in profile, with sloping shouldres, pronounced breasts placed wide apart, upper arms up against the body and marked off from it by grooves, lower arms folded across the abdomen, left over right, modeled and marked off by grooves as well; below arms abdomen bulges and incisions denote pubic triangle. Flat back, bulges slightly at bottom to form the buttocks, incision separates the legs. Cf. Renfrew, AJA 73 (1969), p. 17, features from Charandriani variety (type IV.C)(thorax almost exactly square, arms horizontal at the waist, upper arms vertical, chest flat, incised pubic triangle immediately below arms).
Material:   White marble
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving torso from bottom of neck to abdomen, elbows of both arms preserved, while upper arms are broken away. No traces of paint preserved.
