The kiln consists of two long fire chambers over which were once built the floor and superstructure of the firing chamber. Heat from the furnace was conducted into the upper chamber through perforations in the floor. Surrounding the kiln were found wells, vats and drying floors for preparing the clay. The Late Archaic and Classical finds indicate that pottery and figurines were made here in addition to roof tiles, antefixes and ridge palmettes.","","Corinth","","","Corinthia | Ancient Corinth | Ancient Corinth, North | Tile Works","Monument","Tile Works","","","Corinth:Monument:Tile Works","","" "Corinth:Image:bw 2002 001 03a::/Corinth/Photos/negatives/year_roll/2002_001/2002_st_001_003A.jpg::1800::1184","Circular well cover, flat with vertical outer edge; central opening surrounded by a raised rim, flat on top with sloping sides.
