| Description: | Top slope of the context is slight down to the SE. The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is coarse sand. | |
| Notes: | Context 25 was a thick layer of fill which revealed parts of two walls, one to the southwest (26) and one at the center west (27). The section of wall to the south (26) is composed of large cobbles and small boulders. The second wall is composed of small to medium cobbes and some tiles. At this point it is not clear if the two sections of wall belong to the same struvcture or if they are contmeporary. 25 reveals one fill throughout the area. Around wall 27 and throughout the whole area this fill is blackish brown and includes carbon. Near the central wall 27 were several fragments of TC water pipe. To the south of 27, 25 revealed two segments of water pipe in the new soil with carbon, which appear as if in situ. To the NE, next to these two segments, there has been revealed what appears to be a settling basin and another segment of the water pipe. We will remove the fill above the settling basin in a new basket even though it is composed of the same soil. (Is same as 31 further west). | |
