Notes: | NB122 P36: [MM-NN, 39-40] Work at cutting away dike, to 2.25. Below 1.65 the sherds are more numerous and several additional pieces of terracotta limbs appear (see p. 39). At 2.15-.20 there is a layer of yellow earth, over the whole area weight in the corner mouth of the heap of stones left in place, where there is ordinary red earth. At [OO 41] the red earth gives place to black just in line with the floor already seen at PP 41 Lamp nozzle from NN 40 below 1.65 (De Waele numbered as 18) (CL 2580) Sherds NN 40 examined (1/2 basket): exactly same kind of type as in votive well QQ 22, one has frg. of [illeg., Earth?] = lengths NB122 P39: Votive 10, 9 | |
