We are taking another pass of the arbitrary section of our trench. Each basket is one pass to see if we can detect a gradual change in contents overall.
We are still finding a lot of plaster and many large tile fragments. It seems that this is fill to level the courtyard area associated with the large cistern.
This pass revealed a second course of stones under the E-W line (wall 291).
Basket stopped after 1 pass.
One cleaning of the stone, the southern most stone in the N-S line (wall 290) is actually two stones, aligned vertically with a mud and pebble filled gap between.
